I've been a car nut as long as I can remember.  My first car was a 1965 Mustang convertible and I am passionate about Ford powered vehicles.  It's not uncommon to find me cruising around with 2-3 of my children in my beloved '66 Mustang GT on a nice day here in Minnesota.  I work full time with special needs students as an Occupational Therapist and am also a self-taught photographer who loves to photograph cars and my kids doing the activities they love.

Several years ago, I was photographing an original Shelby Cobra for a client.  He tossed me the keys when we finished and my life changed forever.  I was as they call it...SNAKE BIT.  I became obsessed with finding a Cobra and eventually learned that most of the replicas available didn't provide the authenticity I was seeking.  That's when I discovered a new friend's E.R.A. Cobra.  Yep, that was it.  I was provided with a new found enthusiasm for the higher end replica market, which I really didn't know existed.

 

Convincing my family to share in my enthusiasm proved difficult and rightly so.  Such a "practical" car like a Cobra was a tough sell when the kids still need braces, dance classes, college, etc.  Remember, I'm just a school teacher salary kind of guy.  I figured out that temporary ownership may provide me with a way to scratch my itch.  Fast forward a few years and this is the formula I use today to keep my Cobra dreams alive.  Buy the best cars, as good cars always bring good money when it's time to sell.  Some of the most authentic pre-loved Cobra replicas have actually enjoyed appreciating values as the cost to build new ones continues to escalate.

I am not a dealer, and I've never maintained a dealer's license.  All the cars I've had have been hand selected as "keepers", and titled/registered in my name.  I do not simply flip cars.  You will notice that the cars in my Toy Box are very sharply focused.  This is intentional so that I may become an expert only in those things which I buy and sell.  This is to both my benefit and to my client's benefit so that we both can have peace of mind that I know what I'm doing, and that I can do it well.  I hand select only the best examples I can locate, improve them to the highest standards, and enjoy them as much as possible for myself until the next steward comes along.
